Stephen, Taylor, and Matthew were born and raised in Marietta (East Cobb), GA. They have planted roots and know the area like the back of their hands.
Matthew and Taylor are car enthusiasts who both obtained cars they love. In turn, loving a car requires it to look excellent at all times. Their desire to have good looking vehicles led them, individually, to purchase some things to detail their cars. Luckily, without speaking with one another, they bought different equipment and chemicals that the other did not, leading them to have everything they needed to start detailing other people's cars. Their first client was a friend's mom, who was so impressed with what they were doing, she wrote out a business plan for them and encouraged them to pursue the endeavor.
At a family dinner, Taylor was sharing the experience, which prompted Stephen to question if this is something that they would want to do. Both Taylor and Matthew expressed interest in the idea but needed to figure out where to start when it came to starting a business. That's how Stephen got involved. He knows nothing about cars or making them look good, but he did know how to research and manage calendars, finances, and the tech side of the business. The only thing that was missing was a name! A few brainstorming sessions between the boys and their mom led to what is Montague Auto Detailing and MAD Clean.
